Hello Stamping Friends,
It is that time of year when we say goodbye to the old and prepare to welcome the new!
The annual catalog will be kapoot as of June 3rd.
Well, it does seem like it, since April feels like it has had about a hundred days and May will seem the same. The good news is that we have a list of products that Stampin’ Up! has shared with us to know what will NOT be in the new catalog.
There is a pdf file with page numbers so you can go page by page or an Excel file to sort the list if you like to work that way. I find the easiest way to see what products are retiring is to go to my online store and click the link on the left side of the page to view all the products by picture. Just be careful not to panic when you see things like the Stampin’ Blends as being discontinued. On the pdf file at the very bottom are these details:
When Stampin’ Up! reconfigures a product, they give it a new number, accordingly they show the old numbered product as discontinued.
Bundles with their 10% discount are always discontinued after their first year of introduction, but that does not mean the stamp set or the punch/framelit with which it is bundled are discontinued.
So look for the stars beside the list of products.
Well, wake up and check out all those products that will be forever gone.
Hostess code closing Saturday, April 25, is: RH4REUGF

Hello Stamping Friends and Merry Christmas from Sal, myself and Frosty,
It’s that time of year! Grab your wish lists ’cause you do not want to lose forever the things you want. Products are available while supplies last so don’t delay!
You could also fill out this sheet and give it to someone who can’t decide what to buy for you for Christmas! I will help them!
Just click on the blue for your printable file.
Yes, Sal, the big announcement we all wait for; (view a list or click the boxes to go to the store to see images):
Good thinking, Sal, sometimes we need just a little something to push our order to $150 so we get 10% in free products!!
Three full kits and one refill! The Winter Gifts Kit has 24 Christmas tags but many stampers have posted youtube videos of using the tags and making a full card. That is my goal! 24 cards from this kit plus 10 from the previous kit and I will be almost half way to having my Christmas cards completed!! Join Paper Pumpkin HERE to be able to purchase the kits. December’s “Something for Everything” kit includes a super-versatile stamp set complete with 13 sentiments that can be used for occasions ranging from wedding, to get well, birthdays, and more! Plus, the three full-sized card designs (four of each) are gorgeous! Be sure and join by December 10th to get this month’s kit with 12 all occasion cards.
No, for the first time ever, the carryover products are in a “future publication”, meaning the June Annual Catalog or next year’s Holiday catalog.
Any bundles that were in the Holiday Catalog will be discontinued – as bundles – but the individual products may still be available.
Have a wonderful day and text me if you have any questions at 303-815-0838 or email email@example.com

Hurry Stamping Friends,
Grab your wish list and see if any of the products you have wanted are being discontinued. There are a few things we know for sure:
- All the products associated with the 2018-2019 In Colors are being retired. Check out my previous post here.
- The Big Shot and accessories as well as the Stampin’ Trimmer are being retired. Check out my previous post here.
- All the bundles will be retired. The individual products may carryover to the new catalog but there will not be a 10% discount.
- The Designer Series Papers will be retired.
- All clear mount and wood mount stamps – except the large background wood stamps- are being retired.
The lists make it look like every single stamp set is being discontinued but this is not the case. The clear mount is transitioning to cling mount.
This is a list of stamps that will carryover to the new catalog in the new cling mount:

The hostess code through the end of day tomorrow, April 16, is KTHPFHPP.
SAL, Sharing A Love – knowing they will be gone soon
Hello Stamping Friends,
Stampin’ Up! is moving to a stronger position in the market. They are eliminating the middle man for their die cutting and embossing machine and going direct to the manufacturer! Accordingly the “Big Shot”, as we know it, will be retired along with all its accessories.
I am listing everything that is “Big Shot” though it is an assumption at this point based on the announcement today that just said the machine and accessories.
The Stampin’ Trimmer is also being retired.
Currently we are allowed to buy three sets of blades for the trimmer. When the retirement list comes out on Monday, April 15th, we will be able to buy six sets until they are depleted. As always, they will be available as long as supplies last. I recommend stocking up on the blades and the Big Shot cutting pads. Stampin’ Up! is still working with the manufacturer so the new catalog will not have a die cutting and embossing machine. Until the new one becomes available we need to get supplies for what we have. Change is hard but it will be worth it! The Stamparatus is a cut above the competition and I am sure the new SU die cutting and embossing machine will be the same.
The ‘In Color’ inks, refills and paper will be the first to sell out so be sure you have the stock you want to carry forward.
I will post the retired list Monday so be watching!
The current hostess code is KTHPFHPP. Order $75 using this hostess code and receive a set of Gingham Daisy cards similar to these designed by Janice Laroche!

Hello Stamping Friends,
We have discounts on some of the retiring items! Click here for a pdf file of all the discounted products- some are 50% off!
I chose two of my retiring favorites to make an Eclipse card – the stamp set “Awesomely Artistic”, page 153 in the Annual Catalog, and the color Island Indigo. In my usual monochromatic style I did cards for Mother’s Day, thank you cards and friend cards. Her are various fronts and insides of the cards -the inside could just as easily be the outside of a card.
The Glitter Enamel Dots, #144200, matched the Island Indigo perfectly and added sparkle. (There will be Glitter Enamel Dots in the new catalog but with different colors.) The dragonfly is colored with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, #141897, and the flower centers are a drop of glue from our Fine-Tip Glue Pen, #138309, with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter, #133751, sprinkled on top. The For You greeting comes from the retiring stamp set “So Many Shells”, page 38 of the Annual Catalog.
Instead of Glitter Dots you could be a bit eclectic and use the stamp from the “Awesomely Artistic” set that has dots. The greeting, “From Across The Miles”, is a stamp in the retiring “Holly Berry Happiness” Christmas set, page 118. I used a sticky note to cover up the Christmas Wishes words on the stamp, inked the stamp, removed the sticky note and stamped. Voila- a greeting to use any time of the year.
Or just stamp the flowers a little on the edge of your front layer:
The insides of the cards were fun to customize. My daughter is expecting her first child so this is her first Mother’s Day. A greeting in the “Special Celebrations” stamp set was perfect:
The Daisy Delight stamp set on page 127 had the ideal message for the many thank you notes I needed after my father’s passing.
For dear family and friends, the Occasions Catalog “Petal Palette”, page 23, has the perfect message:
Card Base: Whisper White 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″
Island Indigo Layer: 5 1/4″ X 4″, Make two
Whisper White top layer: 5 X 3 3/4″, Make two
Stamping Order for the top is a bit critical so you don’t have the images running into each other:
- Stamp the greeting at the bottom
- Stamp the dragonfly
- Stamp the flowers
Color the dragonfly with Wink of Stella, then line up the Large Letters Framelits, #141712, spelling HUGS on your stamped top layer and run through the Big Shot. Adhere all your layers and then put Foam Adhesive Strips, #141825, on the back of the cut out letters and glue the letters back in their respective spaces. Helpful Hint: I adhered the letter framelits to a large sticky note and then placed the sticky noted letters on the top layer so I could use it over and over without realigning the framelits each time.
I checked Eclipse cards on Pinterest and found so many words that were used: HOPE, LOVE, YOU, WISH, BDAY, MOM, BABY, BOY, DAD, GIRL, GIVE, NOEL, (NAME), (DATE), JUST, FAITH, JOY, 4EVER, EPIC, BEST (friend). Graduation cards with dates are popular now using the retiring Large Number Framelit set, #140622. The Large Letters framelits will carryover to the new catalog but not the numbers set.
Have fun making your own Eclipse cards!

Note: When a bundle retires, the associated products may not necessarily retire. They will be in the new catalog if they are not listed in the other categories but they will not be bundled for a 10% savings.
Don’t panic as I did when I saw all the ink pads that were listed. We are doing a complete color revamp that is just amazing. Along with new colors we will now have new ink pads with a new ink formula that won’t foam.

SAL, (Sing A Lovely carol this month)
It is that time of year again when the new catalog is close to publication and the retiring items are posted for us to snatch up before they are gone forever. They are good while supplies last so check out your wish list and place an order soon! Our hostess for the month is Sharon Fincham and she would love to have you join her for a Stampin’ Up! party on April 22 from 12:30 – 3:30. Contact me by email or text if you would like to attend. If you can’t attend but would like to help her earn hostess dollars, place an online order and use the hostess code: ZEAR3PSB Those who can’t go to the party but place an online order will receive a little gift from me!
*The bundles always expire at the end of a catalog but not necessarily the stamp sets; you will order each individually without the 10% discount.
Some products are being reconfigured so they are shown as retiring but will be back with a new look -the Pearl Basic Jewels and Rhinestones are examples- and look at those sale prices – $3.50 for pearls and $2.50 for rhinestones! They will be back but they will be mounted individually so you don’t have to cut the glue between them. Nice! (However, I can keep cutting at the retired price!) The adhesive remover is going away and there is not a symbol on the list that shows it is being reconfigured so I suggest getting one or more of those. The Big Shot die brush is coming back with better construction so don’t panic on that one. Staz On ink, refill and the Staz On cleaner are going away as well as Heat and Stick powder so you may want to get a supply of those. Ribbons and bakers twine will come back in different colors but get the colors you like now before they are gone. I thought I might cry when I saw the Organza Ribbon being discontinued, it is my very favorite and can be colored to match all our inks. Oh sigh…..goodbye beautiful ribbon!
The new catalog will be out June 1 but wouldn’t you love to see it now?? Join my team and you will be able to view the catalog and place preorders on select products in May! Plus receive 20%-25% off everything you buy and earn other incentives, like the upcoming trip to Alaska. Next year is Stampin’ Up! ‘s 30 year celebration in Orlando, FL, and there are local conventions for demonstrators which are so much fun! Through May 31 you even get a free Paper Pumpkin with the $99 starter kit!
SAL, (Sigh A Loud – then order before they run out)
