Valentine Treat Box

Hello Stampers,

Just in time for Valentine’s day, Priscilla Ivler posted a cute treat box.  It is triangular with a sliding tray that holds five Hershey kisses!  I made them for my last two events and they were a hit. Here is a picture followed by a printable PDF file for your files, and for the recipe box here on the blog should you ever want to find it quickly!  Click on this blue link:

Remember last year’s treat box?  It had a bookmark and held four nugget candy bars.  Click to go to that post.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hello Stamping Friends,

I have a Never-Ending Valentine for you today, (also called a Perpetually Folding Card).  Love should be never-ending so it seems perfect!  There will be a video from the Stampin’ Up! office at the end but here is the outside of our Never-Ending card:

Perpetual Outside

Then the top folds up and the bottom folds down to reveal the first layer:

Perpetual First Fold

The little hearts are made with the blushing bride glimmer paper.  The stamped images are all from the “Bloomin’ Love” Stamp set on page 17 of the Occasions catalog.  The paper is on that same page – Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.  Now lets open the Love You to reveal….

Perpetual Second Fold

…a fun way to use the new Honeycomb embellishments on page 9 of the Occasions catalog.  Now we flip the top and bottom again and have a new layer:

Perpetual third fold

and all the stamps are in the same set!  Here is the home office with a video:

I forgot to add the tree builder punch to make the cloud!
The club members had fun with the different colors in the designer series paper (DSP) stack.  The beige and brown combination was a winner for a masculine card.

Screen Shot 2016-01-07 at 10.59.19 AMPay close attention to the last three items in the catalog.  They are only available through February 15.  Here is a card made using one of the Limited time stamp sets – the “Sky Is The Limit”:
The Sky's The LimitThe Sky's The Limit Inside
The picture doesn’t do it justice!  The Soft Sky cardstock was used for the base and then Soft Sky sponging made a great background for the plane. I seldom use Whisper White for a border but it coordinated well with the white clouds.  The tree and the flower stems are from the “Sprinkles of Life” stamp set which is inside the back cover of the big catalog.  Purchase the “Sprinkles of Life” set and Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  The cloud uses a sticky note mask punched from the Tree Builder Punch which is a punch made to coordinate with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  The heart in the sky uses puff paint for a fun 3D effect and the propellers look like they are turning by adding a little circle of vellum.  The Happy Birthday is embossed in white and the little flowers are new enamel dots in the Occasions catalog, page 6.  Technique Alert: Did you know you can make your own puff paint by combining Elmers glue and shaving cream?  Mix equal parts of glue and shaving cream then stir in dazzling diamonds or sprinkle the glitter on top for extra sparkle!

Thank you to those who attended our Elizabeth Stamp A Stack!  We made the little red plane card and my teammate Donna guided stampers in making a card she found on Mary Fish’s website (click on the image to find her directions):
Donna's Card
The greeting is from the “First Sight” stamp set on page 36 of the Occasions catalog.  I love the combination of fonts that are used in the set.
Wendy made a shaker card for the third card of the Stamp A Stack using the “Going Global” stamp set on page 39 of the catalog:

The outside says “You are my greatest adventure” and the shaker window says “I thank my lucky stars for you”.
Such lovely cards!  Thank you Donna and Wendy.  Join us March 19 for the next Elizabeth Stamp A Stack!
